Saâdane Afif @Bergen Assembly

This year’s Bergen Assembly Yasmine and the Seven Faces of the Heptahedron opens today. This year’s edition was convened by Saâdane Afif and curated by Yasmine d’O.

The Bergen Assembly is a perennial model for art production structured around public events that take place in the city of Bergen every three years.

This year’s edition explores the form of the polyhedron with seven faces, focusing on Thomas Clerc’s interpretation of the seven faces of this solid body as the characters of a luscious little play-script that he titled: “The Heptahedron”, and Saâdane Afif’s performance in the famous Jemaa El Fnaa square of Marrakech. Yasmine d’O describes the whole concept as “a game, a tarot deck, and that’s handy because my activity requires a certain level of divination”.
