Rossella Biscotti @Sharjah Biennial

Sharjah Biennial 16, to carry, will open its doors​ in a few days! Curated by Alia Swastika, Amal Khalaf, Megan Tamati-Quennell, Natasha Ginwala, and Zeynep Öz—this edition explores what it means to carry home, ancestors, and political formations with us, building spaces for tenderness, empathy, and shared experiences.

Among the featured artists is Rossella Biscotti, whose work spans filmmaking, performance, and sculpture. Biscotti uses montage to reveal personal narratives in relation to society, reconstructing moments in history from a subjective perspective. By weaving oral accounts and personal experiences into her work, she challenges institutional narratives and creates visual stories that connect the past to the present, empowering viewers through untold histories.
