Oscar Muñoz @Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotá, MAMBO

We are happy to announce Oscar Muñoz’s upcoming solo show Infraleve. Memoria y fragilidad at MAMBO, opening on June 26 and on view through September 28, 2025.

Oscar Muñoz’s first solo exhibition after 30 years at MAMBO will focus on the concept of “Inframince”, an idea introduced by the artist Marcel Duchamp. This notion describes extremely subtle differences or transitions that are difficult to describe, but perceptible on a nuanced level. The connection between Duchamp’s “Inframince” and Oscar Muñoz’s work lies in their shared exploration of the barely perceptible, challenging the viewer to attend to and contemplate what is often overlooked or defies simple description. The show will focus on both recently produced works by the artist and some historical pieces, in an evocation that will focus on loss, memory and transformation, inviting viewers to consider not only the observable result, but also the ephemeral process behind it.

The exhibition is organized by artistic director Eugenio Viola and curator Juaniko Moreno.
