Oscar Muñoz, Indicios. The 4th Solo show in Paris

mor charpentier is pleased to invite you to Indicios, the new solo show of Oscar Muñoz in our Parisian space.

Born in 1951 in Popayán, Colombia, Oscar Muñoz lives and works in Cali, where he has developed one of the most singular trajectories in contemporary Latin American art. A graduate of the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Cali in 1971, Muñoz has spent over five decades exploring post-modern methods of representation through non-conventional photographic and mechanical printing techniques, as well as video.

His practice is marked by the use of transient and unstable materials like human breath, water, dust, and fire, which he transforms into poetic reflections on memory, time, and the fragile nature of human existence. By embracing processes of disappearance and ephemerality, Muñoz creates works that blur the boundaries between image and experience, giving form to the precarious reality of life itself.

Recognized internationally, Muñoz has presented solo exhibitions in major institutions, come experience his solo show at the gallery in Paris during ArtBasel.
