New exhibition: Trees on Land
February 17, 2022
Rossella Biscotti solo exhibition ????? ?? ???? is now open at mor charpentier. The exhibition is concerned with human, vegetable and animal journeys. The works presented here create a system concerned with lyrical and violent substitution.
On one hand, Trees on land (2021) is an installation that focuses on the activity of microorganisms, related to the olive devastation from Xylella Fastidiosa (one of the most dangerous vegetable bacteria known). Based on this, Biscotti proposes a group of ceramic in which she uses both ashes and clay.
In another note, the rubber works Biscotti creates are inspired by The Buru Quartet (1980-1988), a literary series by Pramoedya Ananta Toer that recounts stories of oppression and dissent set in South-East Asia in the early twentieth-century.
????? ?? ???? is open until April 2nd, 2022. Don’t miss it!
