Lawrence Abu Hamdan and Kader Attia @The Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial

We are pleased to announce Lawrence Abu Hamdan’s and Kader Attia’s participation in the first edition of The Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial.

The Biennial explores the concept of “public” within the context of Abu Dhabi, inviting artists to create site-specific works in the city. The works take into account special conditions of the city’s public life like the natural environment and the expansion of the city in the past five decades. Understanding and questioning what public spaces are, is a crucial way to comprehend the city’s characteristics and the cultural imaginaries of different communities.
