I Swallow Your Tears, The new solo show of Thèo Mercier

We are thrilled to invite you to 𝐼 𝑆𝑤𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤 𝑌𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑇𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑠, the new solo show by Théo Mercier at mor charpentier Paris.

With this exhibition, Théo Mercier opens a new chapter in his ongoing reflections on time, memory, and decay. Snail Machines, his latest series of sculptures, brings together antique forms subtly overtaken by hyperrealistic snails — slow-moving intruders that crawl across bodies, pedestals, and the gallery space, blurring the line between the living and the inert.

These creatures, brought to life through Théo’s unique vision, act as agents of time, advancing without retreat, unsettling the codes of display and inviting us to reconsider our relationship to history, permanence, and the museum itself.

Two pieces have been created in collaboration with the Rmn-GrandPalais workshop in Saint-Denis @grandpalaisrmn_ateliers
