Born in 1984 in Taichung, Taiwan, Chen Ching-Yuan creates dreamlike compositions where intimate gestures meet collective memory. Through allegory and theatricality, his paintings blur the boundary between history and imagination, inviting viewers into a space where symbolism and personal narrative intertwine. By reinterpreting cultural fragments and everyday encounters, his practice opens a dialogue on vulnerability, identity, and the subtle tensions between reality and fiction.
