The exhibition Inventing Nature – Plants in Art is dedicated to our relationship with the world of plants. Masterpieces from more than 500 years of art history illustrate the change in images of “green” nature and our relationship to it. The spectrum of the discussion ranges from ideas of paradise, depictions of wilderness to garden pictures and botanical studies, from imitations of natural processes to the documentation of growth and decay processes.
