Charwei Tsai at the Ninth Edition of Colomboscope 2026

We are pleased to announce the participation of our artist Charwei Tsai in the ninth edition of Colomboscope, titled Rhythm Alliances, held from 21 to 31 January 2026 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Founded in 2013, Colomboscope is a contemporary arts festival and creative platform for interdisciplinary dialogue that has steadily grown within Colombo’s cultural landscape. Each edition unfolds across key historic sites in the city and brings together intergenerational artists, writers, musicians, choreographers, filmmakers, and cultural practitioners from Sri Lanka and internationally. The 2026 edition, Rhythm Alliances, assembles over 50 artists and collectives and continues the festival’s commitment to fostering experimental and collaborative practices across freely accessible venues in Colombo.

Conceived and curated by guest curator Hajra Haider Karrar, with Artistic Director Natasha Ginwala and the Colomboscope festival team, the 2026 edition reflects on rhythm as a mode of attunement, creation, and collective alliance-building. Commissioned by Colomboscope 2026, Charwei Tsai’s participation is supported by the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and Alliance Française de Colombo.
