Experience Daniel Otero Torres’s Aguacero at the Begehungen festival this summer

We are pleased to share that Daniel Otero Torres work ‘Aguacero’ is part of the Begehungen Art Festival, on view until August 17.

In his ephemeral site-specific installation ‘Aguacero’, Otero Torres reflects on the environmental struggles of marginalized communities in Colombia. Inspired by the Embera people’s stilt architecture along the Atrato River, the work highlights the paradox of living in one of the world’s rainiest regions while lacking access to clean water due to pollution from illegal gold mining.

‘Everything is interaction’ under the curatorship of Claudia Tittel invited artist to come together to explore the complex intersections of environmental destruction, justice, and global power dynamics.
