Discover Carlos Motta’s latest collaboration with artist Tiamat Legion Medusa in their exhibition ???? ? ????? ???? ????? at OCDChinatown. The show premieres a new two-channel video installation that centers the life and work of performance and body-modification artist Tiamat Legion Medusa, where Motta is the collaborator and interlocutor.

The videos present Medusa’s childhood experiences, later metamorphosis and transition, maintaining the concept of self as resolutely embodied. They also show traditions of suspensions in a juxtaposed geometry exposure in the space.

This artistic collaboration continues Motta’s investigations into queer counter-histories, uncovering and visualizing marginalized narratives that resist heteronormative hegemony. The political discourse presented in the show questions the role of the State as a mechanism of conquest and death. Regarding this subject, the videos recognize different processes that lead to contemporary humanization.
