Bianca Bondi Unveils a Site-Specific Installation for Louis Roederer’s 250th Anniversary

Bianca Bondi has unveiled a new site-specific installation curated by Audrey Bazin-Pro and commissioned by Louis Roederer to mark the Maison’s 250th anniversary.

Presented within the Roederer family’s historic private mansion in Reims, the project transforms a space rarely accessible to the public into an immersive environment shaped by crystallization, organic matter, and slow processes of transformation. Conceived just before the building embarks on a major renovation, the installation inhabits the house at a pivotal moment in its history, offering a meditation on memory, transition, and the passage of time.

Bondi’s practice, which explores the mutation of materials through salt, oxidation, and other natural processes, closely resonates with Louis Roederer’s enduring commitment to time, craftsmanship, and its dialogue with nature. Rather than prescribing a fixed outcome, the artist establishes the conditions for matter to evolve, allowing chemistry and time to become active agents in the work itself.

The commission also extends the longstanding relationship between the Fondation Louis Roederer and Villa Medici, where Bondi was an artist-in-residence from 2024 to 2025. Bringing together shared interests in transformation, place, and duration, the project reflects a dialogue between artistic experimentation and the Maison’s longstanding cultural engagement.
