Bianca Bondi in The Rose that grew from concrete

We are delighted to share that Bianca Bondi (@bondi_bianca) is taking part in the group exhibition The Rose that Grew from Concrete, opening today, September 5th, and running through January 4th at Sant’Orsola Museo in Florence (@museo.santorsola)

Once a monastery, later abandoned and layered with cement, Sant’Orsola carries the traces of centuries of transformation, decline, and reinvention. Now, in the heart of Florence’s San Lorenzo district, the site reopens to the public with an itinerary that intertwines memory, art, and contemporary creativity.

This exhibition, the third and final temporary show before the museum’s official inauguration in 2026, unfolds within the restoration site itself after nearly 50 years of neglect. The Rose that Grew from Concrete tells a story of rediscovery.

Curated by Morgane Lucquet Laforgue (@morgane_laforgue) this exhibition features artists Chiara Bettazzi, Mireille Blanc, Bianca Bondi, David Ctiborsky, Marion Flament, Federico Gori, Beate Höing, Flora Moscovici, Chris Oh, Elise Peroi, Clara Rivault, and Calliope Arts Foundation awardees Shubha Taparia and Cécile Davidovici.
