Carlos Garaicoa Opens Ciudad Armero at Museo La Tertulia

We are pleased to announce 𝘊𝘪𝘶𝘥𝘢𝘥 𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰, @garaicoa ’s fifth solo exhibition in Colombia, opening at Museo La Tertulia in Cali.

Curated by Oscar Roldán-Alzate @ora_gambito, 𝘊𝘪𝘶𝘥𝘢𝘥 𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰 brings together sculpture, photography, drawing, and installation to reflect on memory, urban transformation, and collective loss. Taking the tragic destruction of the town of Armero as a point of departure, Garaicoa examines the ways architecture and landscapes preserve the traces of history, revealing the complex relationships between place, remembrance, and reconstruction.

A catalogue titled Armero will be published on the occasion of the exhibition. More information to come.
