Yoshua Okón
Yoshua Okón est né à Mexico en 1970
où il vit et travaille actuellement
L’artiste mélange différents médiums, dont la vidéo, l’installation et la performance, afin d’engager le spectateur dans un dialogue sur la complexité de la société contemporaine. Son travail se définit comme une série d’expériences quasi-sociologiques, une provocation humoristique, exécutée pour la caméra dans laquelle il mélange des situations mises en scène, de la documentation et de l’improvisation afin de remettre en question les perceptions habituelles de la réalité et de la vérité, de l’égoïsme et de la moralité. En 2002, Yoshua Okón a reçu un MFA de l’UCLA avec une bourse Fulbright.
