We are pleased to announce that Daniel de la Barra will join mor charpentier as a represented artist.

Daniel de la Barra, born in Lima, Peru in 1992, He Lives and works itinerantly between France and Spain

Working across painting, video, and installation, de la Barra explores the potential of fiction and political imagination as tools for questioning and transforming the power structures that have shaped histories and territories. His practice examines the global consequences of extractive models and the colonial dynamics that continue to influence relationships between land, resources, and communities.

Through his works, de la Barra creates spaces of reflection and transformation, challenging narratives of domination and exploring new forms of coexistence beyond established systems of exploitation.

His work has been presented internationally at Casa de Velázquez, Madrid; La Casa Encendida, Madrid; Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Madrid; La Maison de l’Amérique Latine, Paris; Delfina Foundation, London; Real Academia de España, Rome; Fundació Miralles, Barcelona; and Museo Central, Lima, among others. He has recently been invited to participate in the 2026 Malta Biennale. In 2027, he will be a resident at the Jan Van Eyck Academie in Maastricht.
